Assessment: This website was created by librarians to be a safe search engine for children.

The main page has many headings with popular categories to help narrow searches, unfortunately once navigated away from the main page the results are not displayed in a very appealing way. Furthermore the site itself does not appear particularly inviting.

Ratings

The ratings are all out of 5
(1 being the least likely I would recommend a book or resource, and 5 being the most likely).

A book with a five rating is one that I would absolutely seek out to give as a gift or add to my own personal library.

Few books will receive five. It would have to be a great read, something worth reflecting on or thinking about after the story is done, and beautiful to look at.

But just because a book has a three rating doesn't mean it isn't worth reading or recommending. It might mean that I think it has a specific readership and is therefore more difficult to recommend as readily. Or it might mean I have conflicting feelings about it. If that's the case I'll try to let you know!
